I have a customer that has 3 t1's to the same provider (me) Whats the best way to balance these? the guy before me had duplicate routes to the two original T1's for "balancing" I added a 3rd T1, but in repeating the previous admin's process it brings the connection to a snails pace. As soon as I add the routes pings go from 8ms to 300ms. I am running HDLC, they are coming in on a channelized T3 on a 7200 on my end and a 3640 on their end. There has to be a better way to do this.....

If this is a point to point, have you thought of ppp multilink. You would have to set this up on both routers. ( Equal cost load balancing and Eigrp ) may also be used.

I've been thinking eigrp, our IOS was written specifically for us by Cisco to support an extremely new card we had at the time (about 8 months ago) Unfortunately it will not do ppp. I really should get on them to hack ppp back into it (or make it work rather) but 99% of my customers use cisco so I normally just do HDLC. I've not really used EIGRP, what would it entail?
