Can i recover dwg from bak file?

Yea re-naming is what you're supposed to do, but, you will have lost all information 1 save previous to what you have done in the dwg file. ie, .bak files are created everytime you save .dwg file, and the .bak is replaced each time you save. Hope you haven't lost too much.

PS....if you still have the dwg, have you tried to recover it....you may still be able to salvage the work...
If you want me to try you can mail it to me if you want? Jay~

My new Tae Kwon Do website is up and running!!

dwg was delete, no trace of it in recycle bin! But this could help me a lot - I didn't know this catch with bak file.
Anyway, thank you!

Here my two cents worth. First make such your auto save is set for a reasonable amount to auto save. Change the file extension from .sv$ to .dwg and if you have autosave set for say every 5 mins.. then you won't lose that much drawing. This works better than using the .bak file
