I know NOTHING! about SQL7 and don't even know where to start.

Situation:
Employee died and did not have documentation on the SQL7 database of subscribers.

I managed to locate the server the data was on and had the web host's control pannel do what they called a "backup" of the data. I retrieved the BAK file and have no idea where to go from here. File is 136meg and the site states that "You can restore the file to any server running SQL7"

Questions:
How do I restore the data to a SQL7 server?
I don't even know where to start when I have an unknown file type or what it contains.
