Baikup finish with many warnings

Hi everyone

I do a full backup of my exchange 2003 every day. I Back up separately the Information store and D:\program files\exchsrvr folders.

so, recentley I got some warnings. my backup log file indicate that there is some files corrupted in d:\program files\exchsrvr\server.log ( see below I copy/pasted a portion of my log file)

my question : is it safe to delete the log files in that folder because there are many files *.log starting from 20050125.log until 20080723.log for 5 GB of size !!!!!!

can i delete them or some of them ? are those files used for something ? what the consequences if i delete some of those files specially those are corrupted !

You don't need to back those logs up, they are your SMTP logs. If you don't need them, turn off the logging.

If you don't read them, delete anything more than a week old.

Sorry, yes I meant MT logs not SMTP logs - must have been late

Either way, if you aren't using them you should either turn off message tracking, minimise it or delete / move the old logs.
