Problem: Cannot unmirror bad ssa disk before replacing<br><br>-- unmirrorvg volume_group hdisk#<br>0516-096 lreducelv: cannot remove last good copy of stale partition. Resynchronize partition with syncvg<br><br>-- syncvg -v volume_group<br>0516-068 lresynclv: unable to completely resync volume<br><br>There are 2 stale partitions on the disk. Successfully copied stale partition to another disk but get same message when attempting to un-mirror. Error seems to indicate the only up to date partition is on the bad disk. Filesystems contain informix db files (raw partitions). OS and applications are operating OK. AIX version 4.<br><br>Any ideas welcome. Thanks.<br>

Can you describe more the context?Have you tried to migratepv the partitions of the volume?I hope it finally works...

Yes this is a difficult situation to recover from.I have landed into the same problem.I have utilised by whole experience of AIX but to no result.I last option of a backup and restore but unfortunately we don't have them.
How did you get out of the situation.please could you share your experience.
