hello:

seems I have a bad scsi card on my lpar, and I am having some stale LVs.

errpt shows
49A83216 as my identifier.

Would a reboot be required for this?

please post the output of errpt -j 49A83216 -a

You are talking about a reboot for "this" What do you mean by "this"? Are you talking about the stale partitions , or replacement of the scsicard ?

regards,

R.

i was asking, if a reboot is needed if I needed to replace this SCSI card. But it seems I need to contact the IBM's CE to tell me if it is hot swapable.

Seems I may need to replace the drives too :-(

thanks for your help!
