I have Magix switch release 2.2 V 7.2 and I have programmed it to forward out to the customers cell phone after it rings there extention 4 times now all this has been working fine , now all of a sudden it is not working the way it was programmed too , I checked all programing and it is still the same then I checked the error log and found 2 error codes the 1st was # 7801 NOT IN NORMAL OP MODE , and the 2nd was # 7808 TEST RESULT REGISTER BAD , now both error codes say to reset the board ,but when you go into the maintenence programming it just ask for a test and not a reset so I did a restart and then I did a hard re-boot and error codes come right back . My question is is it the processor that is bad ?

yes it did manage to re-set but it still will not forwarding out to cell phones and it is only effecting certain ext.'s and the programming is the same

There are a couple of settings that must be correct for "OFF PREMISE" forwarding to work.

The extensions involved must have BOTH "trunk to trunk transfer" permission, and "FORWARD".

Also, if you are using LOOP START LINES, then "RELIABLE DISCONNECT" must also be set.

I would suggest that you print the extension info for a working extension, and for a non working ext and see if there's a difference.

Don't forget to press the POUND (#) SIGN at the end of the number when setting up the forwarding.

I like to put a FORWARD button on the set so it will light up when the forwarding is properly activated.

Light on, forwarding is ready, no light, no forwarding.

all of a sudden it is not working the way it was programmed too
...doesn't tell us specifically what's broken.

If forwarding itself isn't working, I suggest you review merlinman's bullet points.

If forwarding works but the timing is wrong (it forwards calls immediately, for example), then you need to look at the Delay Forward parameter for that extension. The path is System Program, Start, Extensions, More, Delay Frwd.

As merlinman points out, using WinSPM's file compare tool would readily highlight the differences between a broken and known-working extension.

When I said [ all of a sudden it is not working the way it was programmed too ]I mean that these ext. were all forwarding out to cell phones but now they are not and no changes have been made to the programming

If the forwarding was setup - using adjuncts - then a power failure/brownout - would erase the programming. So - if that was the case you would need to reforward the adjuncts.

I've got dozens of Legends and Magixes out there that are using adjuncts for forwarding, and have never lost the forwarding programming due to power loss.

Be that as it may, print a station that doesn't forward anymore, and see what's up.
