Bad performance Windows XP-Clients on samba

When connecting to a Samba drive on a Linux server from a pc running WinXP Pro SP2 I'm experiencing slow refresh rates.
After one connectiong, the refresh rates are much faster.
But if the samba-drive is unused for a little time, the client has the same problem.

I tested all socket options like
SO_KEEPALIVE
IPTOS_LOWDELAY
TCP_NODELAY
SO_RCVBUF=8192
SO_SNDBUF=8192
..but nothing help.

Some ideas?

write raw = no
