I have a volume group that is mirrored with 6 drives, one of them is logging errors and needs to be replaced.

My question is, is there a way to see what drive another drive is mirrored to, and which one is the primary drive?

For the failing hdiskn , do

lspv -l hdiskn

and for each logical volume on that disk do

lslv -l lvname

This will show the hdisk(s) which contains the mirror(s).

the following steps you should do
1.list the physical disks in the vg
lsvg -p vgname
2.list the lv on those pv
lspv -l hdisk*
3.pick up one of the output lv name and use the command lslv -m lvname to make sense the location.

if you are not sure the oriental pv was mirrored to the destination pv, you have to check them one by one or write a script to do this job.

thanks

Thank you very much for the assistance.
