Bad Media reported

Hello all,
I hope you can help. Every once in a while I have Bad media reported, with a LXL8110 with one DLT 8000 and at this time it looks like the slot ie 5. I have replaced the drive several times. The slots seem to vary. So am I looking a BAD media. Note I'am using backup exec for Win Version 8.5 build 3571. Thanks

Have you tried running a cleaning job?

HI Badash57,
I have not tried that per say just to note my tapes 1 to 4 do the incremental during the week and 5 to 9 for fulls on the weekend. The bad tape is reported on the slot 5 and then continues ok to slot 6.....etc
