Bad M0X8 Analog Station Module (ASM)?

Hey everyone,

We had an analog phone with no dial tone and we traced it to a NTBB51CA-93 - M0X8 Analog Station Module.
There were 3 other phones on the ASM that had dial tone.

So we power cycled the ASM and now none of the 4 phones have dial tone.

We had a "spare" ASM that had been removed from another location after an upgrade almost two years ago.
We replaced the existing ASM with that spare, but the spare ASM did not work and it flashes its green LED but it never goes solid green.

We put back in the original ASM and it still does not provide dial tone to the 4 phones.

Are there any other things anyone can think we can try to recover the ASM?

Thanks!
Rich

Also look into programming and make sure it still shows as a station mod. maybe disable and re-enable it there also.

Sounds like the second one has a bad power supply.

As for the first one it maybe faulty too since nothing upon a reboot.
Replace the fiber cable if the port swap does not work.

Did you try the other ports on the ASM? Pretty sure they are in groups of 4, so the other 4 night be still good. Could also try disabling then enabling under Maintennce.

Thanks much guys!
Will try those suggestions.
I have to work with a remote Tech on site and instruct him on doing those things and will let you know if they work.

Sometimes it takes a few minutes for them to come back up. It's like a phone, has to look through the system for duplicates.

Sorry one more question guys.

Would I need the Tech to power cycle the ASM and/or MICS after he tries to move the fiber cable to a new port or swap the fiber cable.
Is the system automatically going to detect the changes?

Thanks!

Make sure Set Relocation is ON

Make sure the fiber cord is plugged into the correct port on the ASM .. There are 2 ports to daisy chain them if needed .. I believe it is labeled 1
