I have about a half a dozen 7316 that are missing digits or pixels in the LCD displays. Does anybody think this is indicative of a bigger problem. All other phones on systems displays are OK. If it is just the displays, anybody know where I can get some reasonably priced replacements.

Thanks,

Stu

I have even had this on new T7316E phones.I think the ribbon cable gets knoked off of the connector. And no there is no bigger problem.
Just Google T7316E.

I've seen this happening more and more lately with these phones. I don't think you can replace just the display on those as it's "welded" right to the circuit board. Actually, that is the problem with those displays, they're tiny little traces, that if misaligned in any way, fail.

I've seen the same thing with new, out of the box T series phones. I haven't found a supplier for the T series phone displays yet. I've had to take them out of unrepairable phones. The displays are clipped to the flex circuit board like the newer style M series phones. They are replaceable, but it's a pain.

I agree with TRONIC1 about increasing number of display, and handset failures since they started importing the sets from Mexico, or China or Mars, or wherever they are made now.

you can purchase the 7316 displays at refurb supplies, but you may want to clean the carbon pads first. I have found that sometimes there is residue left and cleaning takes care of it. Also beware that it can also be a bad flex circuit.
