Hi guys,
I'd appreciate it if anyone of you have a few minutes to spare to take a look at this page for me.

I'm just setting up a new domain and thinking of using this as the index page, but the design is crap, typical of me its all very orderly and boxed in but its bland.
I tried different bg colours etc but it mad little difference.

Anybody got any tips/hints or should I scrap this and start from scratch again?

thanks guys

remove the table borders, and enlarge the center table, also try to create a line down each seperate section, this may make the main are look better

Hi Enda,

I agree with krappleby025 about the table borders.

I suggest to decrease the distance above and below all the line-separations to avoid to much whitespace and maybe you can also avoid unneccesary scrolling with that.
Also maybe a little bit smaller font would give these advantages.

We don't see your images know, but probably you did knew that.

Hope this helps you,
Erik

I would put in a background image or some background color, pref. black so the text can stand out...
If you want to take out the horriable horrizontal bar you can put the entire page inside of one big table with width of 700 or so, this will fit nicely in an 800 resolution browser and still look neat in a 1024 resolution...
Also in the HTML box, you have these links:
Tutorials
Resources
Tips
and

Scripts

I would take out the "and" it doesn't look good, just have the links like:

Tutorials
Resources
Tips
Script

I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

Thanks a million guys, I really appreciate your help!!! Great advice there.
Guess I should do some sort of design course!?!

Thanks again
