Hi, we have some user in France which connect to a citrixserver in germany. We have a bad connection between this countris. The user will be disconnectet very often. Is there any way to make this disconnectiontime longer (a option for a low-speed-connection)

Can you tell us how the connection is currently set-up between the two offices.....????

There is a direct 2Mbit line betwen our offices. There Routers and Firewalls are in this connection.

How often do the PCs drop out....??? Are all PCs at the office affected or is it random....???

How many "remote" PCs are at the office...??? Do they run apps "locally" other than Citrix Client...???

Sorry for the questions...!!!!

They said something from every 15 to 30 minutes. Every user have the problem but not at the same time.

There are ca.50 PCs but mostly not more then 20 are logged in. The server is in Germany and they connect only to two different Applications (Gui for an oracle Database)

They run this Application from the citrix Naigborhood Client 6.2..... . They can start only published applications.

Try checking the following threads.....they both have info on similar problems with remote sites accessing centralised servers.....

thread48-231192
thread48-248388

Hope these give you some pointers, it's quite difficult without knowing the overall set-up....???? The 2Mb/s line should be more than sufficient for handling access to the Citrix Server...??? Is this a new site...??? If not, has there always been connection problems or is it only recently that the problem has started....????
