Bad block on Tape0

I have been getting error message saying that I have a bad block on Tape0.

Is this going to be problem? Should I replace the tape?

Yes, replacing the tape will solve your problem.

What will happen if I do not replace the tape? Is the tape bad. Does it skip that black and save to another one?

If some one could give me a detailed answer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
