I have a ms-6340 v1.0 motherboard, AMD Athlon 900mgz cpu, I don't know what happened maybe a power surge-I don't believe it is a virus (booted from a clean floppy, formated and reinstalled winME)but pc will not boot up normally. At first with "CPU INTERNAL CACHE" enabled I got various vxd or configmg errors however, now it is enabled and if I play around with "CPU Host/PCI Clock/Spread Spectrum" settings it will boot up in various 333mgz, 351mgz, 856mgz and load windows but when shutdown I have to repeat this process, I attempted to upgrade the bios but, the only upgrade for my version (1.0) is AMI BIOS and I have AWARD BIOS and it did not autoflash from the floppy, I tried manually but did not want to enter wrong info. Does this sound like a motherboard or CPU issue or just scrambled settings? If you know of anything that will help please please!

Maybe dead battery (cmos battery) and does not remember the settings.
