Hi,

Due to events out of my control, we need to migrate from OES Linux SP1 over to NetWare 6.5 - includes data copy and trustee rights.

I've attempted in using the Server Migration Consolidation Tool 1.1 and 1.2 but neither works from a Linux server.
I have also tried using the NWCopy utility, again to no success.

I would like to know if such a migration can be carried out either using a Novell tool or a Third Party application - if so what?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Probably the best way is to just copy the files, then run a tool to copy the trustees and then reapply them.

Trust4x is one, I believe, that works at the client level. Should be able to google it.

Another thing about OES1.. It was not done very well, terrible to support. We have had much better luck with OES2, since it's built on SLES 10 and an add=on product.. so it doesn't interfere with the other linux components like OES1 did.
