Hi guys, I have a domain controller running AD, DHCP, DNS and some other services. I have eight computers running in the domain, some of those computers run financial stuff, some other ones run databases. The thing is that we have important information and right now we are doing incremental backups on DVDs, I would like to know what do you guys recommend as being one of the best backups methods, that would also include options to have offsite backups. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tape, obviously.

It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Off site is the best of course but can get costly if you have a lot of data. You could use 2 NAS drives and each night someone takes one home that way your data is always safe.

Unless you get the NAS drive you take home stolen, then you run the risk of your data getting into the wrong hands. A fireproof safe is far better than relying on someone taking your company data home if offsite backups is not an option.
