Hi
I recently upgraded my Arcserve software from r12.5 to r15 & all my backups still ran fine. The next week I noticed the agents on the servers are still r12.5 so I upgraded them to r15. Now my backups are taking much longer to backup.
My weekly full backups usually took from Friday night till early Teusday morning, but now it is still running & it's wednesday already.
We currently use Dell R710 servers & a ML600 Tape library LTO3, hopefully the tape drive will be upgraded soon.

Did anyone experience this before or know what I can do, is it the harware that is to slow, will an upgrade help as we are looking into the Dell PowerVault TL2000 - LTO5 ...?

this is the first report like this to come my way.
cause could be many things
ck throughput for each session and compare
ck how many jobs are running at the time
ck free disk space
ck fragmentation
ck utilization
ck for driver updates

typically such a problem is caused by many contributing factors

slow methodical approach is best
