Peeps,

I am backing up a server using a perl script to initiate the bpbackup command. What i am seeing is that in the log it creates a message saying -
03:23:13 ERR - failure reading file: G:\apps\essbase\App\SOB1Q3\2003\Ess2p7.txt (WIN32 1450: Unknown error)

I took this to be an open file but the database guys insist that it cannot be locked by their app.

Anyone seen this before and know what it means. I was thinking memory and buffer size problems?

CHeers,
Mark.

It could be a number of things - Does anything show in the event log? Can you take a manual copy of the file and paste it elsewhere to rule out a lock? Can you create a policy to back up just that file to see if it runs.
