I have an autoloader partitioned into 10 slots/ drives.

I have daily incr backups running on tuesday - thursday + also saturday slots 0,1,2 + 4 (I use a different job and slot for each day).
My full backup friday in slot3.

The size of the fullbackup in slot 4 has grown to over 40 gb. How can I set up a further slot - e.g. slot 5 so that if the capacity of the tape in slot 4 is exceeded then the backup can then continue on to the next tape.

Would I be correct in simply putting a tape in slot 5 asigning it to the recyclable media set ?

At current the tape in slot 4 -is simply overwritten with the extra data. (I dont have the overwrite protection set)

Any advise - I cant change the system much as its my bosses "wonderful strategy" that I get the blame when it messes up.

Thanks for any help in advance
Will
