Backups Failing

Hey I'm having a problem with one of our servers not bieng able to perform backups. It's a NetWare 6.5 server, and before this morning it was running backups without a problem. However I come in this morning to find my differential jobs a hung at 5%, with a network error.

When I check the log, it shows a warning that it's unable to resolve "Database", which is our CommCell Console. I load up p ing and do verify though that the server can resolve by hostname.

When I check the connectivity to the server, it says that "Authentication has failed". Only my NDS backups use a user/pass, and I verified that it connects successfully because my other Novell servers use the same user/pass.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try setting a Data Interface pair between client and CS and see if connectivity succeeds.

You know we actually got it fixed. The hosts file on the NetWare server had "Database" spelled incorrectly. I have no idea why this was the way it is.. but after correcting the spelling it worked.
