Hi

I have a problem regarding BackupExec 9.1. My costumers tape drive has crached and I haev replaced it with another tape drive.

After installing the tape drive in Windows (It shows in device manager) I installed it in BackupExec with the wizard. After the installation i pointed the backupjob to use the replacement tape drive.

It worked fine for one night but now it can't read the tapes. When I do an inventory of the tape drive the whole media set is displayed in the right part of the window.

Need help!

Best regards

Hi

This could be because the tapes have got overwrite protection.
Have you tried erasing the tapes or does that not work either.
