I have a Dell server that during the Full backup phase (using BackupExec 9.1 SP4 in Windows Server 2003 SP1) the server stops responding and either goes into a "freeze state" or reboots itself. I noticed that the shadow copy services stop and then the server freezes or reboots. I'm guessing there is a co-relation bewteen the two.
This only happens on Full Backups. My Diff's run fine.
Anyone have any ideas where I should be looking to troubleshoot/fix?
I thought by uninstalling BackupExec and then reinstalling it would fix the issue..nope. I started using another server to back up this server using remote backup but the problem still occurs. The weird part it only happens on Full backup jobs.
