Hi Everyone,
I ma wondering if someone can help me solve this strange issue.
I have BackupExec 8.6 and running Licensed Remote Agents on 2000 and NT4 Servers. Upon making the backup selection to the Remote Servers the NT4 and one of the 2000 Servers immediatley respond with the tick however the other 3 2000 Servers take ages to respond. Backup Exec shows Not Responding in the task manager and sometimes it can take up to 10mins for it to come back again.
After this time the tick appears but the backups fail due to the massive time it takes to connect to the 2000 Servers.
However through Network Neighborhood you can browse those 2000 Servers as fast as lightening and can connect to shared drives on those Servers without a problem. It appears to be a problem relating to the way BackUp Exec works.
By the way, the only sililarity between the 3 2000 Servers that take forever is that they all have Intel NIC's.
Can anyone pls help?
