But is doesn´t start and the remote agent produce the following error message: he couldn´t find a file! What´s my problem by this terrible software-product!

Thanks at all!

Your sure the account it runs under has the right password? The service will not start if the password is incorrect.
-good luck, i find it terrible sometimes too

As far as I know, there is a patch to solve this problem, but you need to contact Veritas.

Just installed Veriats on an windows 2000 server backing up a windows 2000 exchange server. It is a real problem. You have to go into the services, double click the veritas backup server service, and on logon as, make sure your log on information is correct. We just had a whole day of fun with this one, but the easiest solution we found was to uninstall, reinstall with the 60 day license...add the appropriate agents (ie exchange agent and remote agent) then add the licenses after. But even then we had to unistall and reinstall a couple of times before it decided it wanted to work. On terminal server make sure you add the agent locally using add remove programmes. Regards and happy times
