Hello, for some reason the services in our Backup exec 12.5 has stopped working. The only way that I can get the media label to work again is to the restart the services.My other problem is that backup aren't running.How do i fix this? Here is the job log

Error : e000e020 - The job was scheduled to run, but the availability window closed before the job could start. There may not have been any destination devices available during the window, or the job may have been submitted to run when the window was closed.

Not 100% sure what the problem is seems generic, but check the following

1) Is the device showing as online on the devices tab ?
2) Check the destination device and media group is correct in the properties of the job (Right click on the job, choose properties)
3) Check the media is a member of the destination media group as per point 2

4) && this from Symantec: -

details:
This error occurs when a job attempts to run outside of its time window. Creating multiple jobs that queue up and then exceed the time window can create this problem. Increasing the backup time window for each job will help to alleviate this problem. To resolve this, perform the following steps:
1. Open Backup Exec for Windows Servers.
2. Click on the Job Setup tab.
3. In the Jobs area, double-click on the job that is having this issue.
4. Click on Schedule underneath Frequency.
5. Click on the Run According to Schedule radio button.
6. Click on the Edit Schedule Details button.
7. Click on Time Window underneath General Options.
8. Increase the time window in the "and no later than" field so that the job has enough time to kick off. If multiple jobs are running, it might be necessary to figure out how long one job runs and then calculate the designated amount of time necessary for the time window on each job. This way, you can be sure each job has the appropriate amount of time reflected in the time window.

Hope this helps !
