How does BackupEDGE treat open files?
IE:
Do the files actually get backed up when the backup edge email says:

a ./var/spool/lp/logs/requests, 1349 blocks
WARNING: File was in use during backup
a ./var/spool/lpd.lock, 1 blocks
WARNING: File was in use during backup
a ./u/tourplan/dat/tplopm.dat, 1202 blocks
WARNING: File was in use during backup

Please Help.

Manual at 1.0.6 says warning message only to call your attention to the fact that the file could have been changed by another user during backup, so it may not be current.
I've never verified that it really does back it up. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

Unless you have a recent version of edge (01.01.08 is the current one) AND you told it to enforce locking, all those files will be backed up.

(the default is non-enforeced locking)
