Hi all,
Veritas has been working fine since i installed it. I tried as an experiment to try and backup a network share dive (which failed to work). So i deleted all the schedualed jobs and started again. Now when i create a new job and scheddual it, it just sits their and does nothing, no job becoms active and it even doesnt queue them it just shows it as schualed and thats it.

I've tried starting and stoping the service and rebooting the server but nothing works. I'm using Veritas 8.6 on windows 2000 server.

Please help

Thanks in advance
Andy

Go to Devices tab in Backup Exec, see if your tape drive is grayed out (offline). Right-click on the drive, is there a checkmark by Pause? If so, remove checkmark. Do the same thing to the icon with your servername next to it. If either is paused, your jobs will just sit.
If the drive is offline (grayed out), go into Properties for the drive, then Configuration tab. Uncheck 'Enable this drive' then hit apply. Then recheck it and hit apply. Drive should be online again.
Hope this helps!!
