Hi,
I am using Arcserve 2000 and currently using the Agent for 2000/NT to backup different servers.
I need to eventually rebuild a server that is running as NTSERVER1 on DOMAIN1, and will end up being W2KSERVER5 on DOMAIN2.
I am able to get a session restore to work, but it is transferring all the security. This is a problem as the groups/users are not the same and therefore I do not have access to the data with out resetting ownership, etc. This process seems long and ugly.
Is there a easy way to restore the data without any security references? I have tried a few things, but not yet found a simple answer. Or maybe my best choice is to remove all security layers on the data the night I backup before the server migration!?
Any thoughts/assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
