We host our own webserver in our offices, but would like to replicate this at another of our offices should anything happen to this one.

Our other office already has a server with iis on it for another system we have so could use that.

So my question is how to replicate the data from our webserver in this office to the other office?

Thanks

And the answer is entirely dependent on the nature of that data. If we're talking about a few static pages, just stick them on a disk and tote them across to the other box. If we're talking about a highly dynamic database-driven site, like Tek-Tips for example, you'll need to look at sophisticated mirroring technologies. You're probably somewhere between those extremes, where some other solution might be more appropriate.

More information could yield a more useful response.

The other option in this type of scenario is to have both servers connecting to a dedicated database server, so you don't need to wory about replication. This does bring in another single point of failure though if you are only using a single DB server.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the responses, here's a little more info

The webserver is windows based, with around half the data being output from a MSSQL database.
