Hi

I am running Backup Exec 8.6 in a windows 2000 cluster environment. I have a Dell Powervault 128T which has two drives built in (LTO). I have the media expansion option installed, san options etc.

Can anybody advise me how i can go about running both drives at the same time? Either both backing up the same data or both backing up different data.

Hoping some BackupExec guru can help !

Cheers

Craig

Hye,
It's been a long time since I've used BE but I will try to recall how to use it.

BE can't multistream data (I think we both agree) so the only way to use multiple drive is to create 2 jobs running at the same time (for example) and with different data (I don't remember if it considers two disk of a single client as a different sources, but try it).

It shouldn't be harder than that !

If you need multistreaming, take a look at "powerfull" products such as VERITAS Netbackup or LEGATO Networker, they both support multistreaming on one drive.

Hope this helps.
