Hi all,

I am trying to backup a 3300, and it just sits there on the backup running screen, but never goes any further, it works on a colleagues laptop, we can't see any real differences, i have disabled my firewall, os is xp sp3, IE7, 3300 are on release 9.

Any idea's?

Thanks

A couple of things come to mind

1. A java issue make sure you only have one version installed try comparing your settings with your colleagues

2. IE7 popup blocker make sure it is off

Certificate issue?

When you first browse to the IP address, do you get a warning not to proceed and then click to proceed anyway? If so, then you will need to import the certificate.

If you did not take enough time to get it right the first time...

What makes you think that you have time to fix it?

No i have imported the certificate, i have also removed java and re-installed also, i am running iis with just the ftp service running, for backups on differnet systems, might try and disable the service and see if that rectifies it, any other idea's?

Also disabled my ftp server and still not working. Looking at the logs in the system i can see the backup has completed successfully, and also states that the client will iniate ftp transfer, but all i see on my laptop is the backup in progress screen.

Thanks for your help as this is rather frustrating!!

Are you accepting the default location or specifying a new one?

The reason I ask is I had a similar problem and when I changed the default (C:\3300_ICP\backup) to another location it worked, also give the backup a unique name.

I always specify a filepath and give unique name, as i have directory on my laptop where i store backup files for different systems.

Cheers

The only thing I can suggest now is to go through your internet explorer settings (security & advanced) have you also tried clearing your cache?

There are a couple of settings to check for in the security zone make sure in the Downloads section that automatic prompting for file downloads in disabled and file download is enabled

Yep done that as well, cleared cache, checked for the download settings, as this usualy stops you exporting .csv out of system as well, thanks for keep plugging away though!!

Thanks for all your help, i just found the reset defaults in IE, and used it! Looking through the settings can't really see anyhting obvious that has changed, just the way i setup mu tabbed browsing, but it has cured the issue, thanks for everyones help.
