I have an 160 gb disk array dedicated for xchange, split up in two 80gb partitions, I've been using NTbackup b/c of some problems I've been having with BE that are in the works of being resolved. I'm backing up the store which is on one partition to the other for the last week, it works sweet..pretty good speed n' all but it just feels like im thrashing this array writing and overwriting 30gb to it everynight (i cringe watching the drive lights during)
Does anyone backup to disk (large i/o) on a nightly basis? for long periods of time? isnt this a drive failure waiting to happen? I want to install this tape drive local to the xchange box but its a cluster node and I know didferent hardware on a cluster is a no no.
