I have backup to disk folders loaded on enternal 115 GB harddrives connected via Firewire to my server. When I run a scheduled backup it runs about 25 minutes then fails with OI disk error. In most cases this error locks the server to failure (it doesn't crash, it just locks everything). I have the identical setup on another machine and it works every time. Write cache is enabled on the drives but I can't get it off.
