Does anyone know of a way to backup the Windows wireless configuration that is defined in the Wireless Zero Configuration or the built in Windows wireless configuration tool/client?

I am using Windows XP and travel to various customer sites and have lots of configurations defined. I would love to export the registry key in order to save these for an easy restore later.

Does anyone know how this can be done. I have searched the registry for SSID and WEP keys to no avail.

Thanks,
Greg

Two thoughts:

. The existing utility allows several wireless networks to be defined. You add them to the top box, and specify their Preferred status in the bottom.

. If you can wait until June 23, 2004, in XP Service Pack 2, (and with SP1 for Windows 2003 Server) is the new Microsoft "Wireless Provisioning Service" which will allow you to store to a floppy or preferably a USB key drive all the settings and insert the device and have the wireless network automaticly reconfigured.

Manufacturers should offer very inexpensive low capacity USB key drives to allow you to insert one and be done.
