Hi Master's,

Can you please verify this command.

#tar xvf - /dev/rmt/0 ;tar cvf /dev/rmt/1 -

Scenario:
I would like to migrate my old LTO4 tape backup to LTO5 new tape. But my problem is i don't have space capacity to restore the LTO4 and then backup the file backup to LTO5.

Question:
1. Is it possible above command to work?
2. If there's a way to do this can you help me provide a script?

Thanks you for all who would like to response.

Try this...

Code:
tcopy /dev/rmt/0 /dev/rmt/1

"man tcopy" for more info.
