backup SX 50

The manual talks about using a tape to backup an sx50. Couldn't I use something like hyperterminal on my laptop instead?

Theoretically, yes, tho I never tried it back when we still had a couple SX50s. As I recall the baud rate needs to be 1200. Good luck!
