Good day All,

I am planning to backup a number of sqlserver 7.0 and sqlserver 2000 databases running on windows 2000 servers.
My backup server runs Legato Networker 6.0.1 for Solaris
I will appreciate any advice you can give me on the following issues.

What version of BSM for sqlserver should I use.
What additional software will be required to run the backup successfully?

Will it be possible to read the tapes backed up on my Solaris Legato Server from another Legato Sever running on Windows NT? ----
If so, have you tried to do this successfully in the past?

Is it possible to transfer Legato Networker indexes from one backup server to another? Either from Solaris to Solaris or Solaris to windows and vice versa.

Thank you.

Best regards
