We are using BE Version 9.0 on an Exchange Server with only about 13 Gigs on the drive. We use Travan 20/40 Gig tapes and now the back up is spanning two tapes. The backup is set for overwrite and we are not backing up the "M" drive.

As a separate issue during set up we could not access the individual mailboxes. We have set up the log on with administrator rights, etc. Any suggestions on that?

I experienced the same problem after upgrading to v9. Backups now using two tapes, even though enough space on one using compression. Re mailbox accounts: as you see the system logon account won't work. In BackupExec create a new logon account for the Mailboxes, use the BackupExec Administrator email account. Use this logon account when you select the mailboxes. I found the solution on Veritas search, but can't find now to reference. Hope this helps.
