Mysql has the automysqlbackup script which works pretty nice. Is there a similiar solution for postgresql? I have found a few on the net, however most seem outdated. Thanks!

i don't know what is this automysqlbackup you can simply make a cron which backups your DB

what you expect this tool to do?

I am looking for a script to do auto rotates the backups by month, day, and year.

I was just wondering if there was any tools out there, otherwise I was planning on writting something together.

Hi Axman505,

You might take a look at Webmin which is a free tool to administer Solaris, MacOS X, Unix, and Linux OS(s). Windows may not be supported. After installing Webmin click:

Servers-->PostgreSQL Database Server-->Backup Databases.
