Backup restore

I have a tape LTO2. The backup jobs have been deleted. So there is no reference to the tape or backup job in devmgmt.
How can I restore data from this tape. [NTBackup]

Most backup applications put the catalog on the tape as well as stores it in its own database. You should be able to catalog the media. You may have to do it through RSM since you are using NTBackup.

[You should be able to catalog the media.] How would I go about doing that. I can see the tape in free media but how can I tell ntbackup where the data is.
