Backup problems

Has anyone had a problem with backing up BCM 3.5 system. Its a remote backup backup, runs but just sits at the "Backup processing please wait" screen The screen seems to be sending data every few seconds but never copies files over to the pc. I have done it on 2 different pc's. One on the network and one directly connected to the BCM. I have left it run for 2 hours. Any help would be awesome
 
Have you tried to do a backup to the BCMs harddisk?
You may copy it to your PC after the backup has finished by enabling the BCM drive share.
 
I have seen this excact problem. I put it down to a Nortel bug and upgraded to 3.7. An upgrade to 3.6 will also work.
If you have never done an upgrade its not a hard thing to do.
 
When you hooked direct to a PC did you use a cross over cable? I've had issuse with backing up over network but not direct connection.
