Backup Problems

I'm having problems making a backup of my BCM 200 system. I can't make a local backup or a remote back up. When I try to make the local backup it still asks me the user name and pw of the remote drive (which I'm guessing it shouldn't) and when I make one remotely I get the error 53 (error 53 couldn't find the network location for the backup) after it checks my username and pw.
Can anyone help me get this fixed?

Delete any scheduled jobs you have, then build a new job, and when it prompts you for the volume, select E instead of any remote drives/paths you may have listed.

I tried doing that but it does not work.
