I am trying to backup a PT2008 company and it gets 99% done when it forces Peachtree to close. The backup file created is actually able to be restored without corruption but I still can't use the year end wizard to change the accounting period. Any suggestions?

Backup problems Year end wizard

Try deleting the following files in the company's data folder if you do not use the Action Item System in Peachtree:
Alarm.dat
Alert.dat
Eventlog.dat
When you open your Peachtree company, you will be asked if want to create a new Alarm or a new Alert or a new Eventlog.
Say "Yes" and create new files.
Then, try to close the year.
Alarm.dat
Alert.dat
Eventlog.dat
