Backup problem on opt 11

My company gave me a laptop with Windows 7 Pro. I am supposed to use Virtual XP mode with HyperTerminal to backup several customer sites.

No matter how I configure it , I can not communicate with any switch. The company I previously worked for used Windows 98 with HyperTerminal & I never had any problems.

I am using a Prolific USB-to-Serial to Comm Port (COM1) configured on pc.I used the disc to download driver. Device manager shows it to be working properly.

Does anybody know if this is a Windows 7 issue?

I am running windows 7 and use putty for pbx access

I use windows 7 and a usb serial, no issues. I use zoc and putty, zoc is good if you use scripts a lot for config has a version of rexx integrated into it.
