Backup options for LINUX Host

We want to install LINUX Web-Server (Apache, mySQL, PHP, Perl etc) with SAMBA partion into various user environments where multiple "legacy" systems co-exist. We want the user(s) to utilise existing back-up services and hardware to secure web-server contents AND contents of SAMBA partition.

Please advise!
