Hello,

I have been reading some previous posts and notice that several times people say that they use LD 143 XBK to backup callpilot.

We were told to use LD 143 EDD first (data dump) and then XBK. We are using hyperterminal on a laptop and backing up to floppies which are stored on and off site.

Does anyone see any issues with this? Also is it typical that all pertinent data can fit on a floppy disk?

Thank you for your time!
Kathleen

i back up to EDD first then i use XBK to backup to floppies so they can be stored off site..

i seem to remember that a data dump only uses around 500k

Colin

Thank you for the info and of course you are right - my notes had a typo, it is LD 43.

Thanks again
Kathleen

Can you supply more details on how this is done? We don't have a terminal at the switch. If it can't be done remotely, could I bring a laptop down there? Thanks.

Hi,
Would anyone be able to tell me the how to restore the backup, back from a PC onto an Option 11c, if I have a backup file created using the Opt 11 backup method as posted above by Colin?

Thanks for any help

Rick

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
Would I need to go into ld 143 first?
I just found some docs, I think I need to run XRT to retrieve the backup, then XSL to load it?

Cheers,
Rick
