Hello everyone;
need some advice on the use of the backup operators group;
I have 4 servers that I backup every night. I use Veritas and various remote agents, all works well.
However in order for it to work I have to use a full blown domain admin account as the login for all the servers as the credentials.
I have tried using a user account assigned to the backup operators group but it always fails with the login.
I understood that a user that was a member of the backup operators group was by default able to 'bypass' security protocols to perform backups on remote machines.
using GPO I have enabled the backup operators group 'remote access to this machine', ( this machine being each server ).
I've missed something probably pretty basic, anyone got any pointers?
Many thanks
