i am taking backup on a tape.
i have exchange 5.5 running on the server.
besides exchange there are some folders that need to be backed up on a daily basis.
i initially used to backup exchange (ntbackup-microsoftexchange-select the server -backup)
Now i would like to backup some more folders.when i try to do that i get this option
append or replace.
i choose to append and take a backup.after having completed i wanted to check if it worked.
so i tried restoring and i get this message.
"no catalogues found on tape."
but when i take a backup of a single entity i am able to restore it.
What could be the reason and are there any setting that are to be changed .
